Barrister's Ball
Barrister's Ball is THE most important aspect of the 2L leadership. As a part of the 2L leadership team, I will bring 10+ years of banquet planning experience. I also commit to being an active listener. We deserve a fantastic event, and I am committed to ensuring that we get one.

MEET DAVID BASH
Keeping Vision and Leadership at LSU Law
I moved to Baton Rouge last year, and I have a passion for LSU and our community. I have a passion for investing and growing my community that's lasted the last decade of my life. In this regard, I have loved taking my experiences and putting them to work here at LSU.

From food to football, LSU has been such a great community to me. I think what has stuck out to me most is the people. This is a place that has made me feel welcome and shown me more hospitality than I could have imagined.
I'm a second-career law student. This has been a passion and a goal of mine for years, and I'm not sure whether I thought I would ever be here. But since I am, I'd be honored to serve this community.

My leadership experience ranges from C-suite level business positions and entrepreneurship to various nonprofit leadership positions by invitation and by election. What I'm trying to say is - I believe that I have been an asset to our school and to our class.

What's Important?
Teamwork
As Law Students, our success is not achieved alone. We depend on collaboration—from our study groups, moot court teams, and all of our student organizations. This is an extremely important value for me going into an election for SBA.

As your Vice President of Class 1L, I will ensure that teamwork is at the heart of everything we do. The SBA’s role is to represent the diverse voices of our student body, and only by working together can we meet the challenges and opportunities that come our way. With a strong focus on collaboration, we can create an incredible environment and the rising tide will lift us all.
Community
As a class and a student body, we’re not just individual students—we’re a community. Throughout my career, I’ve seen the power of a strong community firsthand through my work on nonprofit boards, as an advocate, and in fundraising for charitable organizations. A sense of community provides support, shared goals, and a collective drive for success.
I will prioritize fostering that same spirit of connection at LSU Law. The SBA should be a bridge that brings students together, whether it’s through service projects, networking opportunities, or simply creating spaces for us to grow as a group.
Academic
Success
Community involvement and teamwork are incredibly important, but at the end of the day, we're all here for the same reason. At the core of our experience at LSU Law is scholarship—we're pursuing knowledge, learning a new language, and developing the skills that will make us successful lawyers. We are constantly challenging ourselves to grow intellectually and professionally.
As your Vice President of Class 1L, I will ensure that the Student Bar Association is committed to supporting academic excellence. Together, we will foster a culture that values not just hard work, but also curiosity and intellectual growth, because our academic achievements are the foundation of our future success.
